Designed and crafted in Le Marais, in the heart of Paris, our jewelry is entirely handmade by experienced artisans who have joined the team for their excellent know-how and their commitment to more responsible jewelry.
Our experts work hand-in-hand at every stage of the artisanal manufacturing of our made-to-order jewelry.
Step 1: Creation, Modeling, Casting
In one of the last foundries nestled in the heart of Le Marais, our jewelry is first made as a "casting" in 18-carat gold.
Lost-wax casting is a technique that has existed since antiquity. It is a process in which molten metal replaces, by melting it, a resin model placed in a mold.
⤷ Héloïse creates her random compositions by manually arranging diamonds side by side on paper sheets or a kind of modeling clay. She envisions her deconstructed bouquets starting from the stones she finds. The stone comes before the design, because it dictates everything.
⤷ Based on these compositions, a 3D designer models the jewelry on a computer, respecting the thickness and height constraints imagined.
⤷ The jewelry is then printed in resin using a 3D printer. This creates the first three-dimensional model of the jewelry: this step allows visualizing the complete volume of the piece, its proportions, and its overall appearance. This is the "plastic" representation of the jewelry designed in 3D.
⤷ Once printed and validated, this model is sent to the foundry. The model is covered with plaster, then the plaster is heated: the wax model inside melts, and then molten gold replaces it.
⤷ It then takes the shape of the model, then hardens to become the future piece of jewelry. It gives birth to the "casting" of the jewelry: its first metal sketch.
Step 2: Post-Casting Work
This involves working on the initial "casting" of the jewelry.
When the jewelry comes out of casting, the metal is still in its raw state: it must be prepared and reworked by the jeweler before being passed to the setter.
⤷ The jeweler saws off the casting sprues, leaving only the prongs that will hold the diamonds.
⤷ He then softens the metal with heat.
⤷ He corrects all imperfections (filing, sanding): he refines, sharpens, and magnifies. The jewelry is then pre-polished before being sent for setting.
Step 3: Diamond Selection
After casting and post-casting work comes the selection of diamonds, which must meet our quality requirements and the dimensions specified in the design. All our jewelry is made from recycled diamonds.
⤷ We therefore look for diamonds to recycle or jewelry containing them throughout France from antiquarians, individuals, or traditional jewelry workshops.
⤷ We analyze each stone one by one with a magnifying glass, selecting them for their harmonious round shape, their color (G,H,I), their clarity (Vs, Si), and their charm.
⤷ We weigh each diamond and then sort these little treasures by size. Carefully assembled, the bag of diamonds is entrusted to the setter.
No two of our diamonds, in equal proportions, are perfectly similar. Our aesthetics adapt to their irregularities, and therefore none of our jewelry is mass-produced: each Héloïse & Abélard piece has its own unique character.
Step 4: Setting
Once the diamonds are selected, the "prepared" jewelry is entrusted to the setter for the final manufacturing step, which involves securing the diamonds onto the jewelry.
This step is key to the aesthetic outcome of our jewelry, as the setting is a characteristic signature of our style.
⤷ When designing our 3D jewelry, we are extremely careful to minimize the number of prongs while ensuring the jewelry's strength.
⤷ Our goal is to minimize metal as much as possible, to create true constellations of diamonds that dance on the skin.
⤷ Robust yet minimalist, our prongs have a very particular shape: they are small, round, referred to as "bead-set," and worked with a triangular file to take on the shape of the smallest possible gold ball. Soft, round, and feminine, they contribute to the Héloïse & Abélard style, to its femininity, its delicacy.
⤷ Each piece of jewelry then goes into its sweet box to be delivered to its happy owner.

Our young recycled jewelry House is built on transparency, human connection, craftsmanship, and Parisian jewelry expertise.
We support French craftsmanship and prioritize short supply chains to offer ethical, considered, and reasonable jewelry.
Our diamonds come from the past, but our jewelry lives again in the present, by your side.
