Women and Jewelry - Patricia

We arrive at Patricia's and settle softly into a sharp, artistic, and benevolent atmosphere. We will talk about jewelry with one of the most intuitive and visionary women in the Fashion industry. A discreet woman with a minimalist style that is sometimes severe. No prints, just dark and chic monochrome with a perfect cut. Patricia signs her style with her shoes and her jewelry; they express her femininity and affirm her relationship to aesthetics.

Héloïse et Abélard - Joaillerie recyclée fabriquée à Paris

Jewelry is not an inherited passion; the women around her as a child were not particularly sensitive to it. Her grandfather gave her her first piece of jewelry at age 6, a "ladybug" ring, a "classic" for a little girl. Little by little, the passion was born and grew, her babysitting jobs financed her first crushes, and jewelry became a priority in her purchases.

Patricia has an extremely broad and open vision of jewelry; she loves designers as much as affordable pieces, antique as much as modern, and vintage jewelry that she hunts for. She frequents museum jewelry collections and has an extremely keen knowledge of jewelry history. Eclecticism is at the heart of her passion: jewelry in its entirety excites her, it forms a whole.

Beyond the dimension of possession, jewelry in Patricia's eyes is a life companion. It gives her confidence, reassures her, protects her, and expresses her femininity and sensitivity. Both a talisman and armor. It's impossible for her to go out without it, she would feel naked. Each piece of jewelry is a creation, and Patricia collects them like works of art: jewelry holds a central place in her relationship to art and aesthetics, just like painting and ceramics. Jewelry is a trait of her personality that she expresses through these small objects that she carefully distributes across her sober and elegant look. Often graphic and architectural, Patricia is interested in form, lines, and volumes.

Like a collector, Patricia sorts, analyzes, and organizes her "jewelry" collection: she shows us her chest of drawers, filled with treasures. African necklaces, vintage watches, an invitation necklace from a Marine Serre fashion show, good luck charms, Hermès links, imposing tribal pieces, and a few essentials from sharp designers coexist. One feels the emotion behind each piece and each purchase: these objects have a past, a personal history, they hold a part of Patricia's soul. She transmits her passion to her daughter, who wears 13 rings every day, that's just how it is.

Patricia readily confesses that she is completely hooked. Independent in her quest and purchases, she mostly buys alone and also gives away a lot of jewelry. She hunts at flea markets, surfs CollectorSquare, and never misses an exhibition. Patricia lives jewelry as an art, she collects her jewelry like sculptures. No social considerations intervene, only her sensibility guides her. She does not have an expert's relationship to the subject, is uninterested in stones, their quality, or technique: that is not the point. Patricia focuses on design and its message. It is therefore not surprising that Suzanne Belperron is a reference in her eyes, that her Tourbillon ring is her favorite.

At Héloïse & Abélard, her eye naturally guides her to our most graphic jewelry. She chooses Olympe and Simone, which she stacks one on top of the other. Olympe for its graphic duo of baguette and round diamonds, Simone for its graphic lines and more imposing volume.

The combination of the two models creates a spark: the object makes an impact, its lines provoke questions, the composition of the two rings is striking. Patricia likes our circular approach and our delicate jewelry. She loves and wears jewelry as a work of art that protects her and defines her. Jewelry also transforms her: it instantly imbues her with the strength, allure, and charisma that characterize her.

A big thank you, Patricia, for your time, your support, and your authenticity.
