At Héloïse & Abélard, precious is no longer still. It dances, is reborn and moves freely. Nothing is perfectly aligned, yet everything feels exactly where it belongs.
Forgotten gemstones, once set in outdated jewellery, are reimagined into asymmetric, instinctive compositions that feel almost accidental. Like a happy coincidence.
For us, responsibility is not an added value. It is the starting point. Every Héloïse & Abélard creation begins with precious gemstones sourced from the secondary market, giving existing treasures a new life without further mining. Gold and diamonds endure through time, just like the story of Héloïse and Abélard, whose love still resonates nine centuries later.

The ethics and quality of Héloïse et Abélard jewelry
The ethics and quality of Héloïse et Abélard jewelry
Héloïse & Abélard offers high-end ethical jewelry, designed around fine, asymmetrical, and timeless compositions, easy to wear every day. The Maison creates rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings in recycled 18-carat gold, set with second-hand diamonds and, occasionally, colored stones, particularly sapphires and tourmalines.
Each piece of jewelry is made to order in Paris, within 4 weeks, in a century-old family workshop certified by RJC. Our quality standards are identical to those of the major French jewelers of Place Vendôme. Our partner workshop boasts 140 years of expertise and is certified as an "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (Living Heritage Company) : it possesses exceptional know-how and rare mastery in terms of jewelry expertise.
Second-hand natural diamonds, premium quality
The quality of our second-hand diamonds is the same as that of first-hand diamonds: a diamond is eternal, its quality does not deteriorate over time. Each selected diamond is analyzed and controlled by our experts before being set on our jewelry.
Our quality criteria for selecting our recycled diamonds follow the same standards as those of the greatest jewelers. In terms of color, our second-hand diamonds range from G to H. G color means "Extra White": colorless to the naked eye once set. H color means "White": almost colorless, invisible to the naked eye except when compared to a diamond of higher color. In terms of clarity, our recycled diamonds range from Vs to Si. This means that our diamonds contain very small inclusions, hardly visible with a 10x magnifying loupe, and never visible to the naked eye.
In 2025, Héloïse and Abélard won the CSR Watchmaking, Jewelry & Tableware award presented by Francéclat. This award recognizes the coherence of Héloïse and Abélard's overall CSR strategy, since its creation in 2019, and as part of its development.
At Héloïse and Abélard, we believe that the reuse of natural diamonds from generation to generation is the most ecological solution for making jewelry. We do not believe in the ecological mirage of synthetic diamonds.
The beauty of disorder at the heart of our style
We imagine random compositions of diamonds that dance on women's skin, in a carefully orchestrated disorder. Little metal, but magnified diamonds, lightness in complete safety, for second-skin jewelry, talismans that are never taken off and are passed down. Asymmetrical, different jewelry, with movement, and a classic and romantic imprint. Far from trophy rings, high-set solitaires, we like the lightness of pieces that are both robust and light, easy for all generations to wear.
Our settings are fine but strong, our constructions very carefully designed so that the jewelry does not snag. Far from bling-bling and market massification, our romantic jewelry is original but timeless, easy to pass on.
At Héloïse & Abélard, we offer ethical, beautiful, and desirable jewelry, easy to wear every day on the subway, by bike, or by candlelight. A discreet, high-quality luxury, mindful of environmental issues and sensitive to beauty.
The origin of the Héloïse & Abélard house
My name is Héloïse, I created Héloïse & Abélard in 2019, the first Parisian jewelry house to recycle gold and diamonds to make its jewelry.
Our story begins with the myth of Héloïse and Abélard, two madly in love lovers in 12th century Paris, who transgressed the established order to fulfill their feelings.
Named Héloïse in reference to this passionate love, I created Héloïse & Abélard in 2019, after 10 years of experience within major jewelry houses in Place Vendôme, with the aim of restoring the eternal character of gold and diamonds, and thus offering desirable, but more responsible jewelry.
My vision is simple: diamonds are indestructible and gold can be recycled indefinitely. Why not, as before, reuse these eternal precious materials instead of endlessly extracting them?
I wanted to create a Maison that recycles exceptional jewelry to remount it on "new," more desirable jewelry, without compromising on quality. I design and conceive all our jewelry: I assemble stones recovered from the second-hand market to give life to new contemporary, disordered, and asymmetrical creations.
