A birth jewel is a way to mark a beginning. A precious object, designed to accompany one life — and perhaps to pass through several.
Our birth jewels are made to order, within 4 weeks, in our partner jewelry workshop in the heart of Paris. They are crafted from recycled 18-carat gold, available in rose, yellow, or white, and set with vintage diamonds, carefully recovered from jewelry already in circulation.
Creative in their forms, often asymmetrical, they remain timeless in their intent.

The ethics and quality of Héloïse & Abélard jewelry
Héloïse & Abélard offers high-end ethical jewelry, designed with fine, asymmetrical, and timeless compositions that are easy to wear every day. The House creates rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings in recycled 18-karat gold, set with second-hand diamonds and, occasionally, colored stones, particularly sapphires and tourmalines.
Each piece of jewelry is made to order in Paris within 4 weeks, in a century-old RJC-certified workshop. Our quality standards are identical to those of the major French jewelers in Place Vendôme.
First-choice quality, second-hand natural diamonds
The quality of our second-hand diamonds is the same as that of first-hand diamonds: a diamond is eternal, its quality does not deteriorate over time. Each selected diamond is analyzed and inspected by our experts before being set in our jewelry.
Our quality criteria for selecting our recycled diamonds follow the same standards as those of the biggest jewelers. In terms of color, our second-hand diamonds range from G to H. Color G means "Extra White": colorless to the naked eye once set. Color H means "White": almost colorless, invisible to the naked eye except when compared to a higher color diamond. In terms of clarity, our recycled diamonds range from Vs to Si. This means that our diamonds contain very small inclusions, barely visible with a 10x magnifying loupe, and never visible to the naked eye.
In 2025, Héloïse et Abélard wins the CSR Watchmaking, Jewelry & Tableware award presented by Francéclat! This award recognizes the consistency of Héloïse et Abélard's overall CSR strategy, from its creation in 2019, and in the context of its development.
At Héloïse et Abélard, we believe that the reuse of natural diamonds from generation to generation is the most ecological solution for making jewelry. We do not believe in the ecological mirage of synthetic diamonds.

We imagine random compositions of diamonds dancing on women's skin, in a skillfully orchestrated disorder. Little metal, but magnified diamonds, lightness in complete safety, for second-skin jewelry, talismans that are never taken off and are passed down. Asymmetrical, different jewelry, with movement, and a classic and romantic imprint. Far from trophy rings, high-perched solitaires, we like the lightness of robust and light pieces at the same time, easy to wear by all generations.

The origin of the Héloïse & Abélard house
My name is Héloïse, I created Héloïse & Abélard in 2019, the first Parisian jewelry House to recycle gold and diamonds to make its jewelry.
Our story begins with the myth of Héloïse and Abélard, two madly in love lovers in 12th-century Paris, who transgressed the established order to fulfill their feelings.
Named Héloïse in reference to this passionate love, I created Héloïse & Abélard in 2019, after 10 years of experience within major jewelry houses in Place Vendôme, with the aim of restoring the eternal character of gold and diamonds, and thus offering desirable, but more responsible jewelry.
My vision is simple: diamonds are indestructible and gold can be recycled infinitely. Why not, as before, reuse these eternal precious materials rather than endlessly extracting new ones?
I wanted to create a House that recycles exceptional jewelry to remount them into "new," more desirable jewelry, without compromising on quality. I design and conceive all our jewelry: I assemble stones recovered from the second-hand market to give life to new contemporary, disordered, and asymmetrical creations.
